The Situation

WinguMD originated from a problem its founders were experiencing firsthand as practicing physicians.

Doctors collaborating on cardiovascular cases were exchanging patient information through a combination of text messages, voice notes, and clinical photos taken with personal devices. While these tools made communication easy, they did not provide a structured way to organize information around a patient, follow a case over time, or maintain a clear record of diagnosis and recovery.

More importantly, this informal workflow was poorly suited to an environment where sensitive clinical information and protected health information needed to be handled securely and in accordance with healthcare privacy requirements.

The opportunity was to replace this fragmented communication process with a purpose-built clinical workflow.

The Solution

We initially partnered with WinguMD to build an iOS MVP, then helped evolve the concept into BodyMapSnap, later rebranded as ZenMapSnap, and ultimately into a broader clinical collaboration platform.

The system brought patient records, clinical images, provider communication, and longitudinal case tracking into a structured workflow designed specifically for healthcare. Native iOS and Android applications allowed clinicians to document and collaborate around cases, while the broader platform supported patient, provider, hospital, and administrative workflows.

We also worked on computer-vision capabilities for medical imaging, including object detection and image color correction intended to improve the consistency of wound documentation and comparison over time.

The result was a secure clinical collaboration and imaging platform that replaced ad-hoc communication with a structured system for documenting, sharing, and following patient care.

Results

  • Seed funding from GE Healthcare in 2015
  • Presented at HIMSS, the largest health IT conference in the industry
  • 3-year deployment at Miami Children's Hospital
  • Pilot program at Stanford Clinics

Celteeka acted as WinguMD's complete technical team, from the first line of code to a hospital-grade deployment.

Services Provided

Based on the vision and invention of its founders, BodyMapSnap (later rebranded to ZenMapSnap) provides medically accurate documentation and communication of physical findings using mobile phones and tablets. It runs as a cloud-based solution for private practices and as an on-premise enterprise service integrated into hospital PACS and EMR workflows, with Box HIPAA/GDPR secure storage.
