Overview
Balance is a companion application to support patients suffering from eating disorders in-between therapy sessions. Balance tracks emotional regulation in adolescents with anorexia nervosa to reduce their emotional and physiological stress during mealtimes.
Key Milestones
- Took project ownership at a CS-student coding level and had it ready for clinical use in 3 months
- 18+ months running in a closed-trial context within Stanford Clinic
Services Provided
- Celteeka has been Balance's technology partner since March 2023 after class CS324 was done with the project.
- We held bi-weekly design and discovery meetings until we had a clear understanding of the features. Once we had a common understanding we proceeded with task creation using Github Issues and then internal poker planning sessions to estimate level of effort (LoE).
- After each 2-week iteration we demoed with Product what we had accomplished, gathered early feedback, and realigned priorities.
